Electronic Variable Displacement Metering Pump
The VMP variable displacement dispenser utilizes the CeramPump valve-less piston pump design, and a precision stepper motor controls the pump speed. A second stepper motor electronically adjusts piston displacement, providing ultra-fine dispense adjustments through varying piston stroke length. The device can be programmed for a variety of functions using a touch-screen interface that can control 16 pumps on a single bus. Up to 128 metering devices can be controlled using a PLC or computer. Also, the dispenser can store 100 programs, letting users change between setups on the fly. For UV applications, the pump head is made from either 316 stainless steel or opaque PVDF to isolate UV light from the process fluid as it travels through the pump head. Applications include dispensing UV sensitive fluids such as UV curable adhesives, UV coatings and photo lithography chemicals.
