Air-Cooled Peltier Accessories for Spectrophotometers

Suited for use with proprietary UV-visible spectrophotometers, air-cooled Peltier accessories offer high performance in life and food science, pharmaceutical, environmental, and chemical labs. The accessories deliver precise temperature control in a compact, air-cooled design. For assays that require accurate and constant temperature control, they provide a low-maintenance, efficient alternative to traditional liquid thermostatted devices. The small, solid-state devices comprise a semiconductor junction bonded to two plates, to which a direct electrical current is applied. A heat dispersal system is required to remove heat that builds up during operation. Using air instead of water to regulate temperature provides greater efficiencies by eliminating the need to monitor recirculating water levels, which adds anti-freeze and anti-bacterial mixtures to a water-cooling system.
