Portable Desorption Unit Connects to Various Detectors

The EDU3 portable trap and thermal desorption unit is suited for enriching volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds before analysis in concentrations less than an analytical instrument’s detection limit. It traps the gaseous compounds at ambient temperature on adsorption tubes and forwards them automatically to a detector after thermal desorption. The detection limit can be reduced by a factor of 10 with volatile compounds and up to 1000 with low volatiles. Features include automatic cycles from sampling to thermal desorption, easy connect to many detectors (GC-MS, µGC), on-site operation and high accuracy in analysis. The unit can also cooperate with the redesigned PEN3 sensor array instrument.
