ELS Detector Maintains Peak Widths of LC Systems
The Model 1200 evaporative light scattering detector is suited for rapid resolution and ultra performance LC systems by maintaining the peak widths obtained with these systems. The fast detector offers peak widths less than 1 second, which meets the high sample throughput required in today’s labs. Thermo-Split technology allows full control of the ratio of mobile phase to analyte particles, which can be varied for increased sensitivity and varying flow rates or mobile phase gradients. Furthermore, the vapor phase split ratio can be varied anywhere from 1 to 99% of the volume to provide a superior signal-to-noise ratio for any application. The detector fits in existing Agilent 1100 and 1200 LC systems and communicates with ChemStation via a proprietary driver. It is placed at the bottom of the instrument stack to reduce the tubing length between the autosampler, or UV, and the ELS detector.
