Particle Size and Shape Analyzer Combines Laser and Video Methodologies
Booth 1222. The EyeTech particle size and shape analyzer for QA/CQ, process control and R&D combines laser and video methodologies. The technology is known as laser obscuration time (LOT). Shape analysis is standardized according ISO/CD 9276-6, and particles are measured by a rotating laser for accurate particle size analysis. Imaging is obtained through an advanced dynamic shape characterization step, using a CCD (video) camera system. All are controlled and automated through 21 CFR 11 compliant software, which provides capabilities such as preprocessing, filter options and data re-run. The LOT technology is not interfered with by other physical parameters, such as refractive index, color or temperature.
