One-Button Color Analysis
The fully automated tristimulus filter colorimeter, MINICOL, precisely measures the color of liquid samples in the petroleum industry according to all major industry scales. A sample is poured into the glass sample container, and the container is placed into the light path of the automatic instrument. Light passes through a series of standard filters and is then split into two paths, a sample path and a control path, used to compensate for any color or intensity drift of the source. CIE tristimulus values of the sample in question are determined by integration over selected illuminants. These are then converted by the appropriate algorithm into a value on the Saybolt or an ASTM color scale. Operation is ease due to an intuitive graphics display and menu navigation.
