Focused Spot Accessory Allows Direct Imaging of Lasers
This accessory is made for use with the proprietary laser beam analyzer profiler software that enables direct measurement of many laser beams at and near the focus. The device attaches to the front of all existing C-mount CCD cameras. Also, it attenuates the beam so that when the focused spot reaches the focal plane of the camera, it is attenuated enough so the energy density can be successfully imaged. The beam profile and quantitative ISO-compliant calculations can then be displayed in real time on the user’s computer display. The minimum beam width that can be measured now is about 25 μm. An additional accessory is in development that can image a beam at 10 μm with sub-micron resolution.
